Through a fortunate gathering of partners, the historic issues of the Sanford Herald will soon be available online with word-searching capabilities similar to Google. Imagine being able to access a website for free and to search for your great aunt’s obituary or your cousin’s high school football win, all from your home computer!
When this project is completed, researchers, historians, students and the average reader can easily search for historic information that has been preserved in this most American of institutions, the local newspaper.
