Prince William's Irish Ancestor Revealed In Lost Scroll
A long-forgotten document that lay in the basement of an English castle for 170 years has revealed the Dublin ancestor of the future king of England, Prince William. The amazing link is contained in the Morpeth Roll – a long goodbye to George Howard, Lord Viscount Morpeth, when he left his post as chief secretary for Ireland in 1841.The document is almost three times the length of Croke Park. It was signed by 257,000 people the length and breadth of Ireland, and was a 'thank you' to the popular politician who was a supporter of Catholic emancipation.
