Stolen WWI Medals Returned To Family
Two stolen WWI medals have been reunited with their owner. The medals were found as police investigated crime in the Moray, Aberdeen, and Northern areas. After an appeal it transpired the medals were awarded to Elsie Menzies, who was born in 1894 in Craigellachie.WPC Kate Barnett, of Grampian Police, said: "Elsie's family are very proud of the efforts which saw her receiving these medals and are delighted they have been recovered."
