Nearly 70 years after Private First Class Johnny Roberts left France after WWII, the bible he left behind has found its way home. Roberts was a young man with a wife and two daughters living in Knoxville, TN, when he was shipped off to Brussels to help defeat the German offensive.

He was there for just about a year, often finding refuge from French families grateful for the Americans' help. Somewhere along the way, in one of those French homes, Roberts left his bible and never saw it again.
