Turns out the rebellious streak may run deep in Mayor Rob Ford’s family. According to Ancestry.ca, the Toronto mayor’s first ancestor in Canada may have been sent here at age 11 because he was “unruly.”The site traced out the history of Ford’s paternal grandfather, Ernest Ford. Turns out, Ernest Ford came to Canada from England as part of the child immigration scheme and, according to Ancestry.ca, Ford may have been sent to Canada “because he was unruly.”
