Attach Contacts to your GeneaNet Online Family Tree
You can attach family and genealogical cousins from your Address Book to your GeneaNet Online Family Tree, and view the family link between you and these persons.When adding a new person to your Address Book, you can also quickly and easily attach them to your Online Family Tree.
This feature will help you keep track of your family links.
Select the ‘Address Book’ item in the drop down menu at the top right of the screen:

Attach a Contact who has already been added to your Address Book
Select a person in your Address Book then click 'Attached to your Online Family Tree > Edit':

This will open a new pop-up window with the list of living persons in your family tree.
Select the correct person then click 'OK':

The person is now attached to your Online Family Tree.
A new link has been added to let you view the family link between you and the person:

Note that the given family link is between the 'Family Tree Owner' and the 'Contact' (Go to 'Online Family Tree > Configure > Family Tree Root & Owner > Family Tree Owner' to set the 'Family Tree Owner').

Hi Jean,
This looks good, helps to keep track of those who are on GeneaNet & are or maybe relatives. But I have one question, due to what happened to me on another site I've brought "guest" relatives contacts in my Tree. On Geni.com - when you invite someone in to your Tree, they are able to do these 2 things. I lost "control" of over 100 names, because a neice "added" info, much of it incorrect, to their profile! So, the person who did all the work did not maintain that person, but a second or third did!
So, will a guest have the ability to a. change data on your Family Tree? &/or b. will they be able to "usurp" your family member(s) as their's?

A "Guest" can view your private data (living individuals) but can't edit/add/delete data in your family tree.
An "Admin" can edit/add/delete data in your family tree.
