Shania Twain was born Eilleen Regina Edwards on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, daughter of Sharon (née Morrison) and Clarence Edwards.Her parents divorced when she was two and her mother then moved to Timmins, Ontario with Eilleen and her sisters Jill and Carrie Ann. Sharon married Jerry Twain, an Ojibwa, and they had a son together, Mark. Jerry adopted the girls, legally changing their last name to Twain.

My Grandmother was named Ruth Edwards, She had a cousin name Eileen Edwards, who moved to Timmins Ontario. She would definitely be to old to be Shania, but perhaps the Grandmother
Shania's great grandmother and my great grandmother where sisters. Moise and Ester Brisbois where our great great grandparents. I was researching my family tree and kept coming across a websight from Wargs. i started looking at the info and was dumbstruck when i found out we are related.Trust me she got all the looks and fame. It doesnt mean i get to see her in concert though. I wish I had have known her when she was younger. She would be totally unapproachable now. I wish her all the best though. My son married a girl from Kentucky. She said her mother is related to Shania Twain. She also said she is related to Daniel Boone. Her last name was Pickett.
