A World War One medal that disappeared 30 years ago has been reunited with the soldier’s grandson – after he spotted it on eBay for 99p.

Martin Robson Riley had always hoped to one day find the medal, which was a key part of the family’s history and his only connection to the grandfather he never met. But he said he was left stunned when he came across the Victory Medal, awarded to his grandfather in 1919, on the internet auction site.
