De Baca County authorities are on the search for thieves who broke into the old Fort Sumner Museum. Officials said three antique rifles and a shotgun were stolen from the museum around 3:40 a.m. on June 16.

The Billy the Kid tombstone, weighing over 2,000 pounds, was tipped over and damaged. Other graves in the cemetery were also vandalized. De Baca County Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest.
