June Carter Cash was born Valerie June Carter, on June 23, 1929 in Maces Spring, Virginia to Maybelle Carter and Ezra Carter.She was born into country music and performed with the Carter Family from the early age of ten, beginning in 1939. In March 1943, when the Carter Family trio stopped recording together after the WBT contract, Maybelle Carter, with encouragement from her husband Ezra, formed "Mother Maybelle & the Carter Sisters" with her daughters, Helen, Anita, and June.

Yes I'm related to her down the line, I'm like her 5th or 6th maybe 7th cousin. My dad told me about it. My dad's dad had a brother that was her 2nd cousin. my mum told me that June was he mum's 2nd cousin or her grandmum's 2nd cousin. i cant remember but june is belva's or nellie ion carter.
I was on ancestry an this one lady from the 1600s Susannah carter is my 9th great grandmother lived in henrico Virginia so I think I might be related to her
