New bits and pieces of RMS Titanic’s story of heroic love, tragedy and enduring mystery have surfaced from an old cardboard box at the National Archives of Canada.A series of parched telegrams from then-prime minister Robert Borden, the governor general and the British colonial office, among others, tell of the sorrow and controversy in the days and weeks following the great ship’s collision with an iceberg off Newfoundland 100 years ago last night.
