The resources of Institute of National Remembrance were enriched by new acquisitions, transferred from the archives of the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. Obtaining of this collection of documents was made possible due to an updated cooperation agreement, signed between the two institutions on August 22, 2011.

The collection consists of reports and memoirs of the Polish and Jewish nationals living in German-occupied Polish territories. These important sources, which can be categorized as so-called "individual diaries", reveal the fates of Polish citizens, including many aspects of their everyday life in the occupied territories.
