Japan Apologizes to Canadian War Prisoners
The Japanese government on Thursday apologized to former Canadian prisoners of war for their suffering during the Second World War, according to a Canadian statement.The apology was delivered in Tokyo by Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Toshiyuki Kato to Canadian Veterans Affairs Minister Steven Blaney and a group of veterans of the Battle of Hong Kong.

How convienent to wait until the soldiers that they did not kill are deceased as many of their relations who suffered are also deceased. My during father-in-law's senior years in hospital, he kept a table knife under his pillow to insure that none of the Asian medical staff (who could have been Japanese) came near him. Too little, too late, Japan.
