More than one lakh pages of old Portuguese documents, dating back to even the mid-19th century, will be available online soon after the government printing press completes the process of digitizing the information.

The government has floated a tender to engage a private party to carry out the process of scanning and storing the documents, which includes official gazettes, publications and other documents published before Goa's liberation on December 19, 1961.
