Volunteer Opportunity for First World War Project at The National Archives of the UK
The National Archives of the UK will soon start to digitise the WO 95 record series, which consists of unit war diaries from the First World War. The series is one of the most requested in their reading rooms in Kew, and digitising it means that they will be able to make the diaries more accessible by publishing them online. They are looking for volunteers to help them ensure that the pages within the 5,500 pieces of WO 95 series are in the correct order before they scan them.

Does this collection include any US Army soldiers? My father James Clinton Van Dyke was gassed in France, probably mustard gas? and have not been able to find location in France. His service No. was XC-340-622, length of service was April 2, 1918 to March 1, 1919. The V-records were destroyed in a fire at the St Louis Facility, had been moved from Washington, D.C. Some other records survived. Thank you,Dorothy McDonald
