Some Other New GeneaNet Features and Options
A new Online Family Tree (GeneWeb) option lets you display the day of week in the events date (birth, baptism, marriage, death and burial).Some new features have been added to the Headstones & Memorials database to let you have an easy access to the pictures uploaded by other GeneaNet members, and to improve the editing of your own pictures.
Display day of week in events date
Click ‘Presentattion & Browsing’ in the ‘Online Family Tree’ tab:
Then click 'Data' in the left sidebar:
Or simply click 'Presentation & Browsing' in the left sidebar of your Online Family Tree:
Select the 'Advanced' tab, then set the 'Display day of week in events date' option to 'Display' and click 'OK':
The day of the week is now displayed in the events date of your Online Family Tree:
New features in the Headstones & Memorials Database
The pictures are now listed by country in the home page of the Headstones & Memorials database:
When clicking a country, the pictures are listed by counties and places (city/town). Just click a quantity to view the pictures:
When editing your own pictures of headstones and memorials (My GeneaNet > Uploads > Pictures), you now can:
- click a quantity or the 'Display' icon at the top right of the list to view thumbnails of your pictures
- click the icon in the last column of the list to upload a new picture located in the related place
- click the 'Target' icon in the first column of the list to view the geolocated pictures in Google Maps
