Jail for Graveyard Vandal
A 24-year-old man who vandalised historic gravestones at Canberra's oldest church has been jailed. James Dudley March pleaded guilty to damaging 14 headstones in the graveyard beside the Anglican Church of St John the Baptist in Reid in May.St John's was consecrated in 1845, 70 years before Canberra was named the national capital. One of the headstones March damaged was 150-years-old. March will serve 14 months full-time custody, followed by periodic detention.

Should have thrown him to the dogs as well and protected in custody what a joke.
Plus should be made to reinstall all he damaged at his own expense.
What a mongrel.
Not only should he spend time in jail, he should as be charged with the cost of repairs. Afterall that in itself should make people think long and hard before any repeat offence.
