Archaeologists Uncover 18th Century Artifacts from Lost Town in Virginia Beach
As they dug trenches to reroute storm drains on Princess Anne Road, city crews came up with more than just dirt; they discovered a key part in the history of Princess Anne County, which is now Virginia Beach.Archaeologist Nick Luccketti said that they have recovered artifacts dating back to the 18th century. They found items used by those living in the long lost town of Kemp's Landing, a part of Colonial Kempsville.

I think it is tragic, the the contstruction is not put on hold till all the artifacts can be resumed. After all it is part of this countrys history.
