300-Year-Old Farm in Closter, New Jersey, Gets Historic Protection
The governing body voted to designate a 300-year-old farm on Hickory Lane as a historic landmark, protecting it from demolition and other renovations that could change the look of the structure.The Closter Historic Preservation calls the Resolvert Nagel House, "undoubtedly the most significant house and farm complex within the Borough of Closter," in its Nomination Report. The farm is known as "Brooks Farm."
