The Director-General of UNESCO has designated National Archives of Australia (NAA) as the laureate of the 2011 UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize for its work, which includes publications, and innovative initiatives in the preservation of digital records.Established in 1960, the National Archives have become a world leader in many areas notably in digital preservation. It consistently shares its professional know-how with experts and interested members of the public through extensive publications.

I would be more imrpressed if all the 19th century UK-Australia immigrant ships passenger-lists were to be published...how many people like me simply cannot find ancestors who emigrated Down-Under in the 1800s?
The passenger-lists are kept by individual states in Australia, so searching from the UK is almost impossible.
