I'm trying to find out something about the O'Briant family from Ireland. My great-grandmother was America Richmond O'Briant and her parents were born in America. It would be her grandparents, I would think, who came over from Ireland. There was some discussion at one time that they may have come from Scotland but most sources list them as Irish.
My great grandmother Bridget Kelly (born 1862) came to Philadelphia PA with her parents James and Sarah Kelly from Ireland. I don't know what part of Ireland they emigrated from nor do i know the year. Bridget married Louis Folz in Philadelphia then moved to Camden, N.J.
