Philadelphia Tribune to Digitally Archive Photos Documenting African-American Experience
The Philadelphia Tribune announced that it is digitally archiving their entire photo collection, which includes more than 250,000 photos and spans 125 years. The photographs, which were previously unpublished, showcase African-American life in and around Philadelphia from 1884, when the newspaper was founded.Of their new offering, Tribune President and CEO Robert Boyle said: “These photos reflect the life and experiences of the African American community in both America and in the Philadelphia region.”
