Man Wants Ashes Buried in Kissimmee Statue, Florida
An Osceola County man said he wants his ashes to be buried inside a World War II statue when he dies, but that's against city code. The city has to change an ordinance to let the man be buried in the statue.Initially, the man wanted to make the statue's base a tomb and have his ashes stored here. He said he got a big "no" to that, but he's still not giving up on his dream. The World War II memorial is a popular spot at Lakefront Park in Kissimmee. When people go in there in the future, they may also end up visiting Menandro de Mesa.
