Woman Locates Grave of Brother Killed in WWII
January 16, 1945, was a day that changed Maggie Morrell’s life. On that day, Morrell learned that her older brother, Sgt. Gregory Boehm of the Armed Infantry Batallion, was officially missing in action while serving overseas during WWII.The news was devastating to the Boehm family. The last time they had seen Boehm had been in March 1943, when he returned home to Mandan on a short leave. Four months after receiving the initial letter, the family received another; this time informing them that Sgt. Boehm had been killed while serving his country.
