Crews accidentally uncovered human bones believed to date back to the 1850s-’70s at San Francisco’s Fort Mason compound this week.
“Several bones from several different people” were found along with buttons and bottle pieces, which helped determine the age of the discovery, U.S. Park Service Spokeswoman Alexandra Picavet said.
