Posted by admin on Sep 28, 2010

Some changes and improvements have been made to the GeneaNet Online Family Tree options.

The ‘Manage’ and ‘Personalize’ pages have been merged into a single one named ‘Presentation & Browsing’, and a new ‘Privacy’ page has been added.

You will now be asked for your privacy options when creating a new Online Family Tree and before uploading a GEDCOM file.

Presentation & Browsing

The ‘Manage’ and ‘Personalize’ pages have been merged into a single one named ‘Presentation & Browsing’. Options are now easier to read and configure.

Privacy

A new ‘Privacy’ page has been added to configure your family tree privacy options and your family and friends access rights.

When creating a new Online Family Tree, you will use what we called ‘Basic Online Family Tree’ to manually enter your genealogy data. It’s now simply called ‘Online Family Tree’ and the new software will be launched on October 18, 2010.

When uploading a GEDCOM file, you will use what we called ‘Expert Online Family Tree’. It’s now simply called ‘GeneWeb’.
