My ancestors all came from the Territory of Belfort before it even became Franche Comte. Ancestors named Courtot were maire of Andelnans, also some lived in Sevenans and many more. I wish I spoke French but I will use a translation program to help me. I live in Ohio and Joseph Courtot and Francois Xavier Courtot b. 1826 left home in 1846 and many descendants here.
