Rare Photographs From Mississippi's Civil War History To Be displayed
Rare photographs from Mississippi's Civil War history will be on display at the African American Military History Museum in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, starting today.The Native Guard: A Photographic History of Ship Island's African American Regiment tells the history of the 2nd Regiment of the Louisiana Native Guards serving on Ship Island in the Mississippi Sound. The collection of 13 photographs is on loan from the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi.
