dates in version 89 do not accept dd.mm.yyyy
Response to Evert: Dates in all recent versions of Personal Ancestry Writer II do optionally accept European style short dates, i.e., dd.mm.yyyy. In PAWriter Preferences, check the box labeled Enterr European Short Dates.
