A new template (#8) is now available on the TNG (The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding) downloads page, included in the full v7 zip files and as a standalone zip.
It was created by Bret Rumsey, and it looks both modern and somewhat antique at the same time. Bret has added quite a few comments in the code to help you customize it, and the title is all text as well, making it easier to put your own name up there.
To see what it all looks like, you can try it with the online demo (choose Public or Admin, then click on the #8 in the top frame).
