I have been searching for information re: Nathaniel McCaughey, born 1766, who arrived from Londonderry County, Ireland, to Pennsylvania, USA, in 1797.His wife, Margaret Grier McCaughey, died shortly after their arrival in America. Nathaniel died May 11, 1847. I am his greatgreatgranddaughter. Searching for his ship, or exact arrival date from Ireland, has been fruitless. I do not have any records of his parents' names in Ireland. According to some records I have received, there were three children born to Nathaniel and Margaret Grier and I believe these children to be:Sarah McCaughey (later Sarah McCaughey Gordon), Margaret McCaughey (m. ?? Daniel, then; married Thomas McClellan): and Samuel McCaughey. Nathaniel m. 2nd: Jeanette (Janet? spelling??) Stewart. She married Nathaniel McCaughey in January, 1809. I have no records of where Nathaniel came from in Ireland, other than Londonderry County. If possible, would appreciate any further information, which may be available....Thank you, June Eddins

I am searching for any information about my 5gr grandparents. Robert (b:?1755, No. Ire.) and Margaret (b:1760, No. Ire.)McMichael. They arrived from Ireland before 1788. I find them in So. Carolina, USA 1800. They had 3 children at that time. I don't know whether they landed in Charles Towne or not. Margaret and Robert were Presbyterian. It is believed that they came from Londonderry Co. and that Margaret's maiden name may have been Patton/Patten. After Robert's death in 1808, Margaret moved the family to Bedford Co., TN. I have been told that Margaret gathered her children on Sundays and read the Bible to them. She also spoke Gaelic. I know my information is very vague, but I hope someone out there can help me.

homesteaders, as they had enough money to pay cash for 6 quarters of land and the machinery
necessary to break it and farm it. The 8 children were all in their twenties when they arrived in
Canada.

I am looking for information regarding my paternal grandparents John and Mary Stanish (originally may have been spelled Stanich or possibly even shortened to this. I know that they did not migrate from Slovakia and their parents may not have either. My grandmother's maiden name was spelled Patrunyak or Patrunak. My grandmother was from Patton, PA and worked in a hotel, but not sure if it was in Winber. This was where she met my grandfather, who was a coal miner, a butcher, and a musician playing the trombone in the Slovakian Band in Windber. They had 7 children: Margaret (Furda), Edward, Dorothy (Torquato), John, William (my dad), Leonard and Thomas. Any info anyone could share would be greatly appreciated!
