GeneaNet: Search By Alternate Spelling
GeneaNet Club Privilege Members can take advantage of a search by alternate spelling of names.
Go to "Search - Alternate Spellings" and enter a surname.
Some alternate spellings exist in the database
If some alternate spellings already exist in the database, you will be able to uncheck the ones you don't want to be processed in your search.
You can also add some new alternate spellings for the surname. These new alternate spellings will be saved in the database and processed in every coming searches.
There's no alternate spelling for the surname
If there's no alternate spelling for the surname in the database, you will be able to add some new ones. These new alternate spellings will be saved in the database and processed in every coming searches.
Delete an alternate spelling
You can delete any alternate spelling if it seems to be incorrect. Removals are moderated: they will be effective for your curent searches but the GeneaNet team can cancel incorrect removals at any time.
