I am too, related to Lizzie, In fact. She looks exactly like my Aunt, (Grandmother's sisters) Lizzie is related to me from my mother's side, to my grandmother, then to my Great Grandfather. My family looks like her. But, before I knew I was related to her, I have always been interested in her. I've done some research and Im also related to Winston Churchill, Marilyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Montgomery. I'm also very interested in Marilyn too.

I totally agree Rich.... the history contained in the original stone is far more important and they could have added a small plaque by the side of the grave giving her correct age if it was that important to them.

Shame on them .

How can the trustees be so righteously self-important as to remove and replace a headstone that has been the grave-marker for so long - and all just to make the great point of year in age !

This was vandalism for a petty point of correctness that just does not matter in the grander scheme of things . That old stone carries so much more presence than the slab weighing down on her tomb now . Shame on them .

Needless to say who I was named after; I was born March 29, 1932 in Niagara Falls, New York. Doing my families genealogy allowed me to find my relationship to Shirley Temple Black. Would love to let her know we are 8th cousins & share a grandmother. I've also discovered many famous and/or royals on my tree - fascinating. I had so many Swifts on my tree that I knew I had to search for Taylor Swift. Taylor's Aunt Dinah Swift Perry is my great grandmother. I also noticed that a Delano had married into the Swift family and that led me to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. My favorite though is John Wayne, also a cousin. My Mother, Rose Banyai Farman (1909-2008)is the Hungarian in the family but through my Father, John Lincoln Farman, I located a couple of Hungarian kings. As a girl growing up I read hundreds of novels, frequently they had famous people in them such as Katherine de Roet and Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. Both of these delightful ladies are my great grandmothers.

After the second world war, a resistance fighter Feike de Boer was temporary Mayor of Amsterdam, from 1945 to 1946. The clandestine meeting of directors, including Willem Drees, asked De Boerif he was prepared to be the successor of the pro-German mayor Edward Voûte, after him the Mayor of Amsterdam was then Arnold Jan d'Ailly from 1946 to 1956. D'Ailly was the son of a doctor, he was asked to function as finance minister in the cabinet Schermerhorn-Drees but the job went to Piet Lieftinck, and d'Ailly was Managing Director of De Nederlandsche Bank. In 1946 he followed Feike de Boer as first citizen of the city of Amsterdam
