You can geolocate your pictures of headstones and memorials on Google Maps.

Just enter the name of the city/town and the street address to automatically geolocate your pictures.

Then, you and other members can search for a picture and easily view the nearby headstones and memorials on Google Maps.

You can now attach Archival Records, pages from Archival Registers, family pictures, pictures of headstones and memorials, and coats of arms to your GeneaNet Online Family Tree!

You can also attach documents uploaded by other GeneaNet members.

An easy way to source your genealogy data!

A new GeneaNet feature lets you build your Online Family Tree template.

The template is divided into different sections as follows: Individual, Parents, Spouses and Children, Siblings, Relationships, Extended Family, Notes, Sources, and Family Tree Preview.

You can specify the information that you want to appear in each section: Basic, Extended, Full, and with Pictures.

Sharing information is second nature to most genealogists and GeneaNet lets you easily upload and share your birth, baptism, marriage, death and burial indexes to help other genealogists in their research.

The uploaded indexes are your property and you can delete them at any time.

Of course, you can also read indexes uploaded by other GeneaNet members.

GeneaNet Club Privilege members can view and analyze the traffic data on their Public Online Family Tree (GeneWeb).

The statistics can be displayed by day, week, month and year.

The table shows the number of visits and unique visitors, the average time on website and the bounce rate (percentage of visitors who left the website after one page), by websites, direct entry and search engines.

You can hide some selected living individuals in your GeneaNet Online Family Tree.

These individuals will remain hidden every time you import a new GEDCOM file to update your family tree.

The GeneaNet Search by Alternate Spelling of Name is a powerful feature that will help you find your ancestors.

You can add your own alternate spellings of name in the GeneaNet database so they will automatically apply in your future searches.

This feature is reserved for GeneaNet Club Privilege members.

Did you know that you can upload Archival Records and attach them to your Online Family Tree?

And you can also attach Archival Records uploaded by other GeneaNet members.

The 'My GeneaNet' menu has been redesigned to be more intuitive.

You can access this drop-down menu at the top right of every GeneaNet pages.

You have quick access to commonly used features and it now includes a direct access to your Online Family Tree.

Click the double-arrow icon at the top right of the screen to quickly and easily share GeneaNet pages with family and friends on Facebook and Twitter, and to add pages to your bookmarks list.

The icon is grey if page sharing is not allowed. This is the case for pages reserved for Club Privilege members and other paying pages.

Club Privilege members can add up to 8 pictures that will be displayed in a slideshow in the home page of their Online Family Tree. These pictures can be linked to the page of an individual in the family tree.

Every GeneaNet member can add up to 8 Favorite Persons in the home page of their Online Family Tree to create a quick access to their individual page. Club Privilege members can also create a quick access to the charts and lists, and they can create two groups to organize their Favorite Persons.

Two new search options have been added for GeneaNet Club Privilege members: 'Nearby Places' and 'Name of Parents'.

The 'Nearby Places' option allows you to automatically extend the search to places which are close to the selected one.

The 'Name of Parents' option allows you to easily search for families in the GeneaNet database.

The new 'Keep me logged in' GeneaNet option allows you to log in once to the web site, so that on future visits to the web site login will not be required.

With this new feature, you can sign in once with your GeneaNet username and password, and click the 'Keep me logged in' checkbox. Then, on any future return to the web site, you will already be logged in. You will not have to sign in again until you click the 'Log Out' link or you delete cookies in your web browser.

GeneaNet has a powerful feature called 'Email Alert by Individual'.

The 'Individual Alert' and the 'Cross-Database Alert' have been merged in a single Email Alert so GeneaNet Club Privilege members can now receive accurate emails that aggregate the latest entries by name (with alternate spelling), first name (with alternate spelling), place, year, occupation and spouse.

And these Email Alerts can be automatically generated from the data in their Online Family Tree!
